Pricing & Booking

Is this legal in Minnesota?

You bet! Here in Minnesota, we rent out the pub to you under “Dry Hire” laws, meaning we never provide the alcohol ourselves. To stay fully compliant with state liquor laws, the host, venue, or a catering company handles the alcohol purchase. No license needed, as long as you’re not charging your guests for drinks. You buy the alcohol, we bring the atmosphere!

What types of events do you cater to?

All kinds! Driveway celebrations, private parties, birthdays, weddings, corporate events, backyard gatherings, community events, you name it. Got something unique in mind? Reach out and let’s make it unforgettable together!

How far in advance should I book my rental?

The sooner the better, especially for weekends and holidays. But if your event is right around the corner, don’t hesitate to reach out anyway. If we’ve got the availability, we’ll gladly make it happen!

How does the payment process work?

It’s simple: a 50% deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your event. Pay however works best for you, securely online by credit card (+ transaction fee), by cash, check or through other arrangements.

Are multi-day bookings available?

Absolutely! If the pub’s available, it’s yours for as many days as you’d like. This is a favorite for weddings, since the big day is already packed, and having the pub on-site the night before makes for an extra special rehearsal dinner. Email us at drink@irishtraveller.com to chat about multi-day bookings.

Do you have a 'weather day' policy?

We don’t offer weather dates (rain, snow, etc.), but don’t worry, the pub is indoors! In the rare case of a major storm that makes travel unsafe, we’ll work with you on a late cancellation or reschedule. Any weather-related cancellations outside of that fall under our standard cancellation policy.

What is the cancellation policy?

Life happens, and we get it. If plans change, just reach out as soon as you can, we typically ask for at least 14 days’ notice. Depending on the circumstances, deposits may be non-refundable, so give us a shout for the full details.

Alcohol & Beverages

Is alcohol included?

Nope, we’re a dry-hire rental and bartending service through and through. You supply the drinks, and we handle everything else: delivering and setting up the pub, hooking up your kegs, and making sure it’s all running smoothly. We even throw in the beer gas for your kegs, free of charge!

The pub comes fully loaded with taps for three draft beers (3 CO2 taps and 1 Nitrogen “Guinness style” tap), plus refrigeration for your kegs, bottles, or cans. It’s one of the most cost-effective ways to stock a party, since you’re buying straight from the source at the best price around.

How many kegs can fit in the pub at once?

Plenty! The pub holds up to 4 quarter kegs (or 2 full-sized), that’s over 30 gallons of beer! Want more variety instead? Use fewer kegs and free up refrigerated space for cans and bottles.

There’s also a beverage fridge that holds up to 220 cans, perfect for seltzers, mixers, non-alcoholic options, or just a wider beer selection.

Do we need taps for the kegs?

Nope, that’s on us! Your keg provider might mention needing special taps or connections, especially for Guinness, but don’t worry about a thing. We’ve got the taps, the gas, and the know-how covered. All you need is the keg itself.

One friendly tip: if your liquor provider offers free hand-pressurized taps with your kegs, it’s worth grabbing them. That way, if there’s beer left over after the party, you can still enjoy a little “hair of the dog” the next day. Once we disconnect your kegs and haul away the pub, they won’t pour anymore!

The Pub & Equipment

How many people can the pub accommodate?

The pub comfortably seats 12–15 guests, and just like a real neighborhood pub, folks naturally flow in and out all evening. With our serving window, guests can even grab a drink without stepping inside, keeping the good times flowing for groups of any size.

What if there is no power source at my venue?

No problem at all! The pub travels with its own generator and gas, so we can keep everything running smoothly no matter where your event takes place.

Is the pub climate controlled?

Yes indeed! Heat and air conditioning keep things comfortable in every season, and there’s even an electric fireplace to set the mood on cooler nights.

Is The Irish Traveller wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Thanks to its hydraulic frame, we can lower the trailer close to the ground and add a ramp for easy wheelchair access (the door is 30 inches wide). Have questions about access or setup? We’re always happy to walk through it with you.

Is there a sound system in the pub?

It sure can thump! Four speakers and a subwoofer bring commercial-grade sound, and the bluetooth-capable receiver lets you connect your own device. Plus, it comes with 2 microphones, perfect for making an announcement, giving a toast to thank your guests, or even breaking out some karaoke to really set the mood!

Is there a TV in the pub?

Yes! A 50″ Full HD TCL TV is ready for the big game, a slideshow, or your latest binge-watch. Your pub, your rules! Just note that Smart TV features need a WiFi connection on-site, or you can plug in via HDMI. Football tailgates will need your own TV subscription to catch the game, and for graduation parties, guests love running a photo and video reel of the graduate right off a USB stick.

Is there a bathroom in the pub?

There isn’t, so we typically set up near a house or venue with restrooms nearby. No bathroom access? We can point you toward some high-end trailer-based facilities, a big step up from your average porta-potty!

Space & Set-Up

Where can the pub be set up?

We love private residences, private events, and corporate gatherings. As long as the ground is reasonably flat and solid with clear access for delivery, we can usually make it work! Not sure about your space? Just ask, we’re happy to take a look. For reference, the trailer measures 30 feet long (with trailer neck), weighs 9,000 lbs, and stands 13 feet tall. For the most comfortable setup with room for guests to move in and out, we recommend a space at least 35 feet long and 15 feet wide.

Where do you deliver to?

We mainly serve the greater Twin Cities Metro area, but we’ll happily travel throughout Minnesota! Mileage runs about $1.00 per mile beyond 30 miles from Delano, MN. It might sound like a lot, but remember, we make multiple trips depending on your event package (4 separate trips to drop off and pick up the pub or 2 trips when bartending). Want a delivery quote? Just send us an email!

During Your Event

How long does it take to set up the pub?

For you? No time at all, we handle everything! On our end, the pub is typically ready to go within 120-90 minutes of arriving at its final spot. The only thing we ask is that your alcohol be on-site when we arrive, unless pickup arrangements were made ahead of time. (Pro tip: if you’re picking up the kegs, cans, or bottles, keep them cold, upright, and unshaken for the smoothest draft!)

Do you offer a bartender(s) or staff for my event?

We do! Choose between self-service or a fully staffed experience, whichever fits your event and guests best. Not sure which is the right call? Give us a shout, we’d love to talk it through and help you land on the perfect fit for your event!
